Monroe man found guilty of Attempted Second Degree Murder, Attempted Manslaughter and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

A Monroe man, Ivory Mock, Jr. was tried via bench trial by Judge Larry Jefferson in early September, 2019. Assistant District Attorney Nicholas Anderson prosecuted the matter for the state. The Defendant was represented by Attorney Kevin Johnson.  At trial, the Defendant was charged with 2 counts of Attempted First Degree Murder and 1 count of being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm. After a two day trial, Judge Jefferson found Mock guilty of 1 count of Attempted Second Degree Murder, 1 count of Attempted Manslaughter and guilty as charged for count 3, Felon in Possession of a Firearm.  The Defendant was sentenced to 15 years at hard labor for count 1 and count 2. He was sentenced to 10 years at hard labor for count three. The sentences for all three counts were ordered to run concurrently.
