MONROE MAN FOUND GUILTY OF FAILURE TO REGISTER AS A SEX OFFENDER

Thomas Ray Davis was found guilty as charged of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender- Second Offense following a jury trial at the Ouachita Parish Courthouse.  The three day trial began on June 28, 2021. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Sean Southern and Holly Jones. The Defendant was represented by Attorney James Ross. After the close of evidence, the jury deliberated for thirty-two minutes before returning a verdict of guilty as charged. The District Attorney’s Office filed a bill of information charging the Defendant as a Habitual Offender based on his prior felony convictions. Sentencing is scheduled for September 9, 2021 before the Honorable Scott Leehy.
