Adolescents At Risks, Inc. - 318-327-3452

Adolescents at Risk, Inc., combat juvenile crime, delinquency and drugs by implementing a comprehensive prevention program which includes after-school activities, workshops and mentoring for at-risk youths.

Monitoring by program supervisor and mentors establish guideline for adolescents and parents, individual and group triad sessions, teaching, tutoring, goal setting, field trips, restitution and community service work.

Workshops and awareness rallies are conducted by AAR staff and community volunteers at local schools and community recreation centers. Topics of interest adolescents tend to face in the course of development for example, self esteem, teen pregnancy, violence, drugs, alcohol negative, peer pressure and sexually transmitted diseases are the activities (role playing, individual counseling and group discussions) are focused.
