Adolescent Diversion Program - 318-327-3451

This program was established to provide assistance in placing adolescents who are in crisis situations, as well as juvenile offenders, with alternatives, direction, and positive choices. Due to the high incidence of juvenile crime and the extreme shortage of detention bed space in the Fourth Judicial District, this program is vital to efforts being made to curtail and control the fast growing problem of juvenile crime.

The Adolescent Diversion Program addresses the role alcohol and drugs play in the commission of crime in general and juvenile crime, specifically by providing counseling and educational awareness in an effort of prevention.

This Program operates an Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs Prevention Program. The Program serves first offense youth in Ouachita Parish. The operating hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday throught Friday, open on all school breaks (may be closed on State holidays).
